After having taken part in this workshop on the use of blogs. I would like to know what´s your opinion regarding the implementation of this tool in your classes here at the universtiy. How can we start using this tool with our students? What advantages do you see in it and What could be the possible disadvantages?. What do you need to be ready to blog with your students?Your comments will help us make decisions on how to start this project.

I think blogs are an appealing way to create a link between the English classes. We all are aware that some students don’t have enough motivation to do their homework and that they do it several minutes before the class begins. Blogging offers a new way to complement the activities carried out in class. I think using blogs requires transmitting the students a feeling about how important their opinions are and making them understand that a blog is a space that belongs to them and was made for them. They are an attractive common place in which teachers and students discover a new form of communication and interaction.
ReplyDeleteI think there aren’t any disadvantages when using blogs. A common obstacle is that not enough computers are available for use, or that initially blogs are difficult to navigate. In any case its advantages and benefits are unlimited.
After this interesting workshop, I am completely sure, we are well motivated to promote and use blogs to change our class atmosphere. Learners will be encouraged to take advantage of computers to improve their english writing skills at anytime. Blogs would be a great way to interact and know pupils better in order to find out their strenghts and weaknesses. Cheer up!

ReplyDeleteThe availability of computers won´t be a problem, because you don´t need students to blog in your class. That´s something they can do out of the classroom.
